Polycom Soundstation 2 External Microphones Not Working
Is there any configuration setup that we need to do to enable the Mic's?.
Polycom soundstation 2 external microphones not working. FCC Part 15 Class B. Unplug all cords before clean-ing the SoundStation2. Speaker is not working.
I went down to troubleshoot and then found both mic's not working. Please liaise with a Polycom Reseller in order to purchase the correct microphones. Is there an ex mic user's manual?.
The microphones work and if i push the mute button the LED on the Soundstation will go to RED and unmute they got to Green. The SSW mics are made for the SS2W and do not work with a SoundSation 2. I have a soundstation IP 7000 with external microphones, but they don't work at all.
I have a Polycom Soundstation Duo Part Number with two external microphones attached part number. Each mic came with a connecting cable (part# 2457--001) that works, but unfortunately the cable is not long enough for our needs. Not all mobile phone models recognize the SoundStation2 as a headset.
Hello all, we have a new polycom soundstation with 2 external microphone extensions. Yesterday 1 mic stopped working but the other was. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.
Hello GMarshall, welcome to the Polycom Community. The main unit is not currently powered POE but just plugs in using the power supply provided. SoundStation IP 7000 - External Mic not working with longer cables I have a SoundStation IP 7000 unit (part# 21--001) and have two external mics (part# 21--001).

Remove the microphones by using this guide. The two external mic's for a SoundStation 2 Ex are not appearing to work. The Microphones for the SS2W are not Compatible with the Microphones for the SS2.
I swapped ports on the soundstation and swapped cables with some shorter ones I had. The Microphones don't have any lights on The microphones don't pick up sound even in the device diagnostic test. Soundstation 2 and SS2W external mics not working.
You will need to get SS2 EX mics for that setup to work. If this is the case, you will need to open up your phone and replace the microphones. The main unit is great and we love it.
